Dudou Custom Form
How to take measurements
- Start with a flexible measuring tape, notepad, and two pieces of string or ribbon (optional). Label the measurements as you go.
- Measure against skin or thin unpadded underwear.
- Relax and keep the tape completely straight - double check this for each measurement.
- Do not tighten or loosen the tape. It should lay flat and snug against your body.
It's easier if someone helps you, but doing it yourself is possible. Just follow the instructions carefully and double check each measurement for the best results!
Custom garments can't be started without the form, so make sure to submit it promptly to avoid delays! If you need any help during this process, contact me and I'd be more than happy to help :)
Base of neck
- Measure around the base of your neck, just above your collarbone.
Bust
- Measure around the fullest part of your bust/chest. The fullest part is usually across the nipples (apex) , but can vary.
- (Optional) Tie a string around your bust. Make sure the string is completely straight.
Front Bust
- This is a half measurement, so we won't go around the back for this.
- Measure only the front half of your bust. Start at the side seam (dotted line) and go across the fullest point of your bust to the other side seam. The side seam is a line directly down the middle of your armpit.
Underbust
- Measure around the ribcage, just under your bust. This is usually where the bra band is.
Waist
- Measure around the smallest part of your waist. This is where your body creases when you bend side to side.
- (Optional) Tie a string around your waist as reference. Make sure it is completely straight.
Shoulder to Waist Front
- Measure from shoulder to waist, going over the apex of the bust straight to the waist.
Apex to Waist (Side)
- Measure from the apex string to the waist string at your side. You should measure vertically along the side seam. The side seam is a line directly down the middle of your armpit.
* The clothes are based only on the measurements you provide, so please check for accuracy. Keep in mind it's not always possible to achieve a perfect fit without an in-person fitting.
